Job Summary

As a Surgical Technologist at AdventHealth Littleton, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department. You will work closely with our surgical team to prepare for and assist during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and providing essential support to our patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team in preparing for procedures, including setting up sterile equipment and supplies
• Maintain a sterile environment during procedures, ensuring the safety of patients and staff
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses as needed
• Assist in preparing and moving patients, as well as sterilizing and cleaning instruments and equipment
• Use physician preference cards to identify necessary supplies and equipment

Requirements

• Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist
• Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Experience in a specialty field
