Purpose

As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for the meticulous preparation of both internal and external financial reports. This includes management reports, investor communications, and the compilation of various financial data on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. You will also play a crucial role in conducting periodic borrowing base calculations and submissions. Additionally, you will assist our senior financial analyst with system administration tasks related to Oracle and Trecs.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant reporting standards by preparing all necessary monthly, quarterly, annual, and other periodic filings.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and present findings to leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Record journal entries and perform account reconciliations as needed.
  • Adjust departmental plans and priorities to effectively manage resources and operational challenges.
  • Act as a secondary financial system administrator, handling access requests and hierarchy modifications.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of compliance programs, including SOX controls and audit support.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
About You
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in public or private accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • A self-starter with the ability to adapt to various situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in PC and spreadsheet applications, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Capable of working under pressure while consistently meeting tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
Physical Requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings as necessary.
  • Most work will be conducted in a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk or computer terminal.
  • Utilization of calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment is expected.
  • Some stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required to complete job duties.
