Job Title: Transportation Trainee

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Trainee to join our team at Ben E. Keith Co. As a Transportation Trainee, you will be responsible for developing the skills and knowledge necessary to become a successful DOT driver. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and grow with our company.

Key Responsibilities:

* Learn to operate a tractor/trailer and navigate complex routes
* Develop proficiency in performing delivery duties while maintaining a good safety record
* Learn to read customer invoices and determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and delivered
* Become familiar with electronic equipment such as Xata on-board computers and handheld scanners
* Adhere to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
* Good communication and organizational skills
* Ability to multitask and learn new processes
