Railcar Cleaner

Job Summary

The Railcar Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and inspecting railcars to ensure compliance with customer, FRA, AAR, and Watco requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to read and understand work orders, and be able to work safely in confined spaces.

• Responsible for cleaning and inspecting railcars to ensure compliance with customer, FRA, AAR, and Watco requirements.
• Must be able to read and understand work orders and follow safety procedures.
• Will work safely in confined spaces, wearing personal protective equipment as required.
• Will interact with crew members and supervisors to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
• Will follow all safety rules and company guidelines.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate English at a proficient level.
• Ability to learn function-specific operational details and pass an exam to demonstrate knowledge.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments, in and out of the weather.
• Knowledge of equipment and tools required to perform safe entry for cleaning.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
