The Alaska Department of Fish and Game is committed to conserving and enhancing Alaska's wildlife and habitats. We are seeking a highly skilled Fish and Wildlife Technician 5 to join our team in Anchorage, AK, and contribute to our mission.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of site operations, wildlife monitoring, public use, and wildlife enforcement at the McNeil River State Game Sanctuary (MRSGS) and the McNeil River Bear-Viewing Program. You will work closely with wild brown bears and other wildlife in a remote and pristine sanctuary, collecting, entering, analyzing, and reporting biological data, leading and training lower-grade technicians in remote field settings, and organizing and implementing field logistics, including purchasing supplies and coordinating with contractors.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience guiding members of the public in a remote bear-viewing program, knowledge of wildlife biology, management, ecology, and conservation, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
