Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus. As a key member of our cardiac catheterization lab, you will be responsible for interpreting data, operating physiologic recorder/database systems, and collaborating with other staff to ensure seamless department operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpretation and Analysis
    • Interpret data gathered during procedures to recognize potential implications in patient care or complications related to cardiovascular diseases.
  • Equipment Operation
    • Operate physiologic recorder/database system with expertise, recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate and communicate with other room staff and schedule coordinator to maximize department productivity.
  • Training and Education
    • Train and educate new employees in the cardiac catheterization lab.
  • Radiographic Equipment Operation
    • Operate radiographic equipment utilizing radiation safety procedures.
  • Assistance to Providers
    • Provide assistance to the Provider performing the procedure.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • 1 year of experience in x-ray technologist preferred
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
  • Licensure
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Travel Requirements

Up to 20% travel may be required for this position.
