Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist-Doctorate to join our team at the MG JS ENT Madison Clinic. As a key member of our rehabilitation and wellness department, you will be responsible for assessing the clinical status of patients and providing treatment to initiate a treatment process.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the clinical status of patients by identifying, assessing, and habilitating patients of all ages with auditory, vestibular, and related disorders.
  • Provide immediate feedback to surgeons on cranial nerve function to assist in avoiding permanent neurofunctional deficits.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding results of assessments and strategies to facilitate recovery from or adjustment to a communication disorder.
  • Employ screening procedures to identify at-risk populations and intervene to minimize the impact on communication/development/ability.
  • Confer with physicians, other professionals, and/or referral agencies to provide results for assessment and recommend appropriate treatment/intervention.
  • Employ aural rehabilitation procedures to improve communication abilities of individuals with hearing loss.
  • Utilize pharmacology to determine how medications may affect patient symptoms and test results.
  • Provide knowledge of business skills and governmental regulations for third-party reimbursement as related to audiological services and procedures.
  • Employ leadership qualities to support and mentor the department and community.
  • Understand the role of imaging techniques in the evaluation of audiovestibular pathologies.
  • Complete assigned goals and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
  • Driver's license (current).
  • State license as required.
