Job Summary

The CT Technologist is a vital member of our medical team, responsible for performing CT and radiologic procedures with precision and care. As a CT Technologist, you will work closely with our radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently produce high-quality CT scans of patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric age groups.
  • Follow established scanning and viewing protocols to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Operate CT scanners and related equipment efficiently and effectively to meet STAT and urgent demands.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute, and challenging patients, and possess skills to modify positioning and scanning factors when necessary.
  • Solicit patient cooperation by providing education about the procedure and expected sensations before and throughout the scan.
  • Complete required documentation on forms, logs, and charting systems.
  • Assist radiologists during invasive procedures and demonstrate knowledge of supplies required.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • One year of experience performing CT procedures is preferred.
  • Certified by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT, RTR).
  • Post-primary CT certification within 6 months of assignment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR certification within 30 days of employment start date.
