Responsibilities:- Perform daily product evaluations and cook study validations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist the Director of Food Safety & Compliance in developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Collect and maintain supplier documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate the adequacy of quality assurance standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues to ensure prompt resolution.
- Collect and compile statistical quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities to stakeholders.
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
- Monitor risk management activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Quality Assurance, Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Operations Management, or a related field.
- USDA and FDA food manufacturing experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish).
- PCQI (Preferred).
- HACCP Certified (Preferred).
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong implementation and execution skills.
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to be relatable, personable, and productive within a team environment.
This position reports directly to the Director of Food Safety & Compliance Director. The ideal candidate will develop good working relationships with management, co-workers, and other employees. The candidate will also develop working knowledge of the production environment, equipment, and be able to respond to change.
Working Conditions:This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury. The individual must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, which include standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment.
