Key Responsibilities: (Additional tasks may be assigned)

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by warmly greeting and assisting all visitors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Process returns, warranties, and cores as necessary.
  • Participate in training sessions as directed by management to enhance job performance.
  • Utilize dealership tools and resources safely and effectively.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager.
  • Verify and manage receiving documentation.
  • Address shortages and expedite processes by communicating with the Parts Manager.

Ensure all parts are accurately checked against invoices, confirming the correct items and quantities are staged appropriately.

Items in the staging area without invoices should be set aside until all routes are verified.

Invoices lacking corresponding parts in the staging area should also be set aside for verification.

After reviewing all routes, check for any excess parts against invoices to ensure proper staging.

Parts without invoices should be tracked down using the PDA to locate their corresponding invoices.

For invoices with missing parts that are available in the warehouse, pull the items as needed, and remove unavailable parts from the invoice.

Any parts that cannot be located should be reported to sales personnel.

For parts stored off-site, follow these procedures:

Chrysler and Alfa: Mark the invoice to indicate missing items and send a quote for verification and pickup.

Ford & Subaru: Mark the invoice and leave it with the A.M. staff for follow-up.

Inbound Freight Management:

Print packing lists prior to the arrival of inbound shipments.

Ensure all supersessions are completed before freight arrives.

Report any allocation or availability issues to sales personnel.

Scan, invoice, and organize inbound freight into designated routes.

Initial completed invoices in the upper right corner to indicate verification.

Volvo parts management is the responsibility of the night warehouse; ensure parts are checked and staged for delivery.

Maintain cleanliness by removing debris and empty boxes from the warehouse.

Ensure empty totes are returned to their designated cages daily.

Qualifications: To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • No prior experience required.
  • Less than a high school education or up to one month of related experience or training.
  • High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience or training.
  • Completion of a one-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience.

Language Proficiency:

  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to write basic correspondence and effectively present information in small group settings.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules and operational instructions.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.

Reasoning Skills:

  • Ability to follow instructions and solve practical problems.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret various instructions.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in word processing software and adaptability to new programs is essential.

Attendance Expectations: Regular and predictable attendance is required for this position.

Certificates and Licenses: A valid driver's license is required.
