Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists Patient Care Coordinator

As a Patient Care Coordinator at Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience. Your primary responsibility will be to WOW patients on their first visit and facilitate patient care through accurate and efficient collection of patient information and communication with referral sources and therapists.
The ideal candidate will create a welcoming and caring environment that ensures patients will be compliant and view Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists as their physical therapy choice for life.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain a positive team attitude
- Greet patients with a smile in a pleasant and welcoming manner, using names and making appropriate eye contact
- Answer phones in a timely and friendly manner, routing calls appropriately
- Act as liaison between Physical Therapists and physician offices
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
- Input patient demographic and insurance information into the system accurately and efficiently
- Schedule functional tests in an accurate and timely manner
- Verify prescriptions and plans of care
- Communicate with therapists and PAS department to ensure efficient treatment
- Explain verification of benefits forms to patients
- Maximize capture of visits and patient compliance
- Collect copays, coinsurances, and deductible monies from patients
- Accurately record all payments collected and prepare deposits
- Review work lists and communicate with referral sources
Requirements:
- Ability to listen and follow verbal direction
- Ability to communicate with patients, coworkers, and referral sources in both verbal and written form
- Ability to accurately and efficiently input patient information into computer system
- Ability to manage several tasks at the same time
Physical Requirements:
- Sit up to 6 hours continuously
- Frequent data entry
- Occasional standing and walking
