Job Title:

Senior Design Professional

">About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Professional to join our Civil Engineering team in Orlando. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing design and technical support, exercising judgment to solve complex problems, and guiding and mentoring junior designers.

Key Responsibilities:

Civil Site Design: Execute all aspects of civil site design, including complete plans, calculations, and reports.
Design Task Coordination: Coordinate and guide design tasks of junior designers to ensure timely completion of projects.
Design Adaptations: Direct design adaptations and modifications as needed.
Software Proficiency: Complete design work and calculations using computer-aided software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D/Civil Design Software.
Project Research: Lead project research, coordination, and communication with regulatory agencies to complete permitting requirements.
Quality Control: Provide preliminary internal Quality Control review of plans in coordination with project lead.
Design Team Meetings: Represent LandDesign in design team meetings and speak confidentially to project understanding.
Daily Processes: Participate in the development and enhancement of daily processes in support of project efficiency.
Construction Submittals: Address construction-related submittals/RFI responses.
Client and Regulatory Review Meetings: Participate in and may lead client and regulatory review meetings. Prepare meeting minutes.
Financial and Schedule Requirements: Assist project lead in meeting project financial and schedule requirements. Assist with contract and change order scoping. May assist with invoicing.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study is required.
Licensure: E.I.T. certification is required, and P.E. obtained or in-progress is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency with reading construction plans, data analysis and interpretation skills, proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D/Civil Design Software, Microsoft Office Suite, and VantagePoint.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
