Job Summary

PennState Health is seeking a highly skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort during the scanning process, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
  • View images of the area being scanned to ensure quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
  • Administer gadolinium contrast dosage intravenously, as required, to enhance image quality.
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures, position them on the examining table, and ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Enter patient data, including history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation, and position of entry, into the computer system.
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) and registered or registry eligible in MRI.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
