Position Summary

Outpatient Registered Nurse - Cardiology Clinic

Shift: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse with extensive experience in patient care, particularly in the cardiology domain, who possesses a deep understanding of the specific needs of this patient population.

  • Utilizes acquired knowledge, theoretical frameworks, research, and practical experience to adapt to evolving clinical scenarios.
  • Applies the Synergy Model for Care in practice, tailoring care to meet the unique needs of each patient and their family.
  • Independently delivers safe, reliable, and effective care to patients, employing the nursing process.
  • Assesses patient responses to care plans and modifies them as necessary.
  • Integrates the AACN Synergy Model into everyday clinical practice.
  • Collects, reports, analyzes, and shares data consistently, as required by physicians and interdisciplinary teams, in line with organizational standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • Possession of a valid, active, unencumbered nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the relevant licensing board.
  • BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification may be required in specific departments.
  • Exceptions apply for individuals currently employed as LPNs within the system who are transitioning to RN roles while completing their residency program.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Physical demands may vary based on assigned work area and tasks. Common requirements include lifting up to 75 lbs, carrying objects up to 35 lbs, and frequent standing and walking. Environmental factors may include exposure to blood-borne pathogens, biohazardous waste, and various chemicals.
