Catering Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Catering Coordinator to join our team at ShopRite. As a Catering Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the flow of catering orders, maintaining communication with Department Managers, and coordinating pick-ups and deliveries to clients.

• Manage catering orders from receipt to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Maintain open communication with Department Managers and clients to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
• Coordinate pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Utilize Wakefern's Order Ready On-Line catering tool to maximize data tracking and optimize order management.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, including servings, amounts, cost, and complimentary items to suggest.
• Participate in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
• Ability to use the telephone for over-the-phone orders.
• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to use the computer for online orders.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 60 lbs.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of fresh, dried, and/or processed products, spices, and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences.
• Strong hospitality skills with a commitment to delivering excellent client services.
• Resourceful, self-starter, strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies.

The Catering Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, Department Managers, and other team members. The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 60 lbs., and working in varying temperatures.
