Job Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a skilled Apprentice Machinist to join our team in the manufacturer of Aircraft Engine Parts. As an Apprentice Machinist, you will operate computer programmable/controlled machines to perform a series of progressive machining operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machines to perform machining operations
  • Read and understand operation sheets, operational sketches, and blueprints
  • Deburr and polish hardware
  • Troubleshoot quality problems
  • Perform in-process checks and inspections
  • Run re-cuts or rework after setup
  • Work within a team to meet operational targets
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of related experience in manufacturing or a 2-year degree in a related field
  • Familiarity with computer systems and lean manufacturing concepts
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and work from detailed instructions
