Apprentice Machinist

GE Aerospace is seeking a skilled Apprentice Machinist to join our team in the manufacturer of Aircraft Engine Parts. As an Apprentice Machinist, you will operate computer programmable/controlled machines to perform a series of progressive machining operations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CNC machines to perform machining operations
- Read and understand operation sheets, operational sketches, and blueprints
- Deburr and polish hardware
- Troubleshoot quality problems
- Perform in-process checks and inspections
- Run re-cuts or rework after setup
- Work within a team to meet operational targets
- Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of related experience in manufacturing or a 2-year degree in a related field
- Familiarity with computer systems and lean manufacturing concepts
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and work from detailed instructions
