Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team at the Fairfield Inn. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for providing and storing spotlessly clean hotel linens in a timely and organized manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sorted linen utilizing washers, dryers, and inspect product to ensure quality standards.
  • Turn in all articles found in the laundry chute to the supervisor to log in Lost and Found.
  • Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
  • Notify the supervisor of supplies needed, damaged linens, or hazards to the department.
  • Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.

Additional Duties:

  • Sort linen by type.
  • Properly load washers and dryers.
  • Follow proper laundry folding and stacking procedures.
  • Separate re-wash linen using proper procedures.
  • Assist with monthly inventory procedures and collect dirty linen from guest rooms if needed.
  • Cleaning linen traps from dryers.
  • Equipment wipes down (report any/all equipment malfunction to management).
  • Sweeping and mopping laundry floors.
  • Removal of trash at end of shift.

Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, bending, stretching, reaching, stooping, and pushing up to 20-30 pounds.
  • Ability to work varying schedules, including holidays and weekends.
