We are seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our Inpatient Psychiatry team at UCLA Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide comprehensive care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and individual counseling to promote patient well-being
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Develop and implement safety plans to prevent harm and promote patient safety
- Provide education and support to patients and families on mental health topics and resources
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the United States Council on Social Work
- Active registration with the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA and laws related to child and elder/dependent adult abuse
- Experience with evidence-based interventions for suicidality and risk assessment
- Knowledge of LPS, Probate, and Limited Conservatorships
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts to patients and families
- Experience with therapeutic groups and group facilitation
