The Pre-Admission Screening Registered Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of patients through the surgical process. This part-time position requires a skilled and detail-oriented RN to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Operative Review: Conduct thorough reviews of pre-operative tests for all surgical patients to identify any potential issues that may delay or cancel scheduled surgeries.
- Clinical Decision Making: Collaborate with the Anesthesia team to review cases and make informed decisions regarding patient care.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate resources and delegate tasks to the Pre-Admission Screening team to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication among multidisciplinary teams, including vendors and provider practices, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assessment and Critical Thinking: Utilize excellent assessment skills, time management practices, and critical thinking skills to make sound decisions and prioritize patient care.
- Education: Associate Degree considered, BSN agreement required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Previous RN experience required.
- Licensure: MBON RN license or compact state equivalent required.
- Certifications: BLS required.
This part-time position offers a Monday-Friday day shift schedule with 40 hours per pay period.
