Job Summary

The Senior/Lead Radiologic Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnostic imaging process, working closely with the Director and Supervisor to train, assess competency, and supervise technical and support staff. This position is responsible for monitoring all technical and clerical functions, ensuring efficient patient throughput and effective utilization of equipment and human resources based on patient load.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the technologists and clinical staff to ensure the quality of their work.
  • Coordinate and prioritize department workflow to ensure completion of work assignments.
  • Perform day-to-day departmental functions and responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the effective management of the department.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent education.
  • Five years of experience in an acute-care setting as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Registration as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (TMB).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
