About the Job:

  • Deliver nursing services in the Diagnostic & Treatment Center (DTC) and Day Health Center (DHC).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality and safe delivery of nursing services.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care coordination.

Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Nursing Services:
  • Administer medication and treatment as prescribed by physicians.
  • Investigate and document customer issues and grievances in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide prescribed or emergency care to patients requiring professional nursing services.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and obtain laboratory specimens when indicated.
Quality and Safety:
  • Evaluate and promote a safe environment for patients.
  • Comply with National Patient Safety standards.
  • Complete all DTC logs as per regulations.
Administration:
  • Identify and partner with other departments to resolve complex customer service inquiries.
  • Track stock medications and medical supplies at the DTC.
  • Prepare mail order prescriptions and complete prescription logs.

Requirements:

  • Current active and unrestricted license and registration in NYS as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum one year general clinical experience in a certified home health agency (CHHA), acute care, medical surgical, and/or critical care.
  • Customer Service experience required.
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, lifting, bending, and agility.
