Role Overview: Bath and Kitchen Showroom Sales Consultant

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

As a Sales Consultant in our showroom, you will utilize your technical expertise and exceptional customer service abilities to foster long-term customer relationships. Your main objective will be to meet sales and profit targets within the product categories we showcase. You will deliver outstanding end-to-end experiences for customers and cultivate enduring partnerships with designers, custom builders, and high-end remodelers within the Bath & Kitchen sector.

QUALIFICATIONS

- A strong enthusiasm for sales and customer satisfaction
- Capability to establish rapport through positive first impressions and trust by demonstrating our core values
- Commitment to fulfilling promises and collaboratively identifying growth opportunities
- Technical proficiency in appliances
- Ability to build a client portfolio comprising designers, custom builders (fewer than 5 homes annually), and high-end remodelers

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES
  • Meet sales goals by providing exceptional service and adhering to the sales process: qualify, quote, address challenges, close sales, and follow up post-sale.
  • Achieve gross product targets by assessing customer needs and applying suitable pricing strategies.
  • Expand the customer base in alignment with company objectives, focusing on Average Monthly Active Accounts.
  • Analyze current sales trends and product performance using company reports to strategize on engaging new customers.
  • Actively promote all displayed categories, including but not limited to: appliances, plumbing, and outdoor grilling.
  • Offer tailored solutions based on customer requirements, delighting them with options they may not have considered, leveraging market insights and innovative design thinking.
  • Establish strong connections with designers, custom builders, and high-end remodelers by understanding their business models and needs while applying our unique value proposition.
  • Prepare accurate quotes and specification/picture books within one business day of customer interactions. Communicate with customers if expectations cannot be met and provide revised timelines.
  • Follow up post-quote within customer expectations to identify potential barriers to securing the business.
  • Convert quotes into orders and procure products following our standard operating procedures for sales orders, including cash handling.
  • Continuously enhance sales skills and product knowledge to remain competitive and recognized as industry leaders.
  • Participate in showroom events, continuing education units (CEUs), and networking opportunities to generate leads.
CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT
  • Develop and maintain sales relationships within the remodeling and new custom build ecosystem by networking and influencing key decision-makers to secure sales and create new accounts.
  • Proactively seek new leads on the showroom floor by leveraging end-user contacts and nurturing relationships.
  • Foster a productive working relationship with Showroom Support and Network Development Representatives.
COMMUNICATION
  • Respond promptly, within one business day.
  • Participate in daily huddles with management and monthly check-ins.
  • Communicate daily with support functions regarding backorder issues and tasks assigned to Showroom Consultant Support.
  • Share insights, trends, and customer feedback positively to enhance current processes.
  • Disseminate market and competitor information across relevant channels within the organization and establish collaborative relationships at all levels.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
  • Monitor and manage daily calling and trouble queues, as well as past due orders, in accordance with company policy.
  • Track weekly sales performance and complete assigned training modules.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in line with sound judgment, company policies, and objectives.
  • Assist with credit and collections of accounts receivable as necessary.
YOUR PROFILE

- Bachelor's degree
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Bilingual proficiency required
- Preferred Experience:
- 3+ years in sales with a proven track record
- Experience in home furnishings, home improvement, or complex sales cycles
- Familiarity with high-end products/services
