Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operating equipment, and maintaining related records.

Responsibilities
  • Perform standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operate and maintain radiology equipment, including setting up and adjusting immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
  • Assist physicians with various procedures and report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records and notations, and participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  • Assist in the educational training of students and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
