Job Summary

This role is responsible for the receipt and processing of biological specimens, preparation of samples for testing, and performance of waived and moderately complex tests. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a department supervisor and may take direction from higher-level technical personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform all essential functions as defined by the department, including start-up, calibration, and accuracy of procedures and instrumentation.
  2. Recognize and respond to abnormal patient and/or QC results, ensuring accuracy of test results and promoting quality and productivity.
  3. Maintain inventory and order supplies, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  4. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, promoting positive relationships and teamwork.
  5. Support and promote the company's mission, vision, and values, adhering to customer-focused quality service standards and the Code of Conduct.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; ability to multi-task and cross-train in all areas of the Anatomic Pathology section.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and basic computer skills.
  • Good reading, writing, and math skills.
