Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a key member of our Mental Health service, you will be responsible for providing specialized neuropsychological services to patients with neurological, psychiatric, and medical complaints.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, including assessment, diagnosis, and feedback, using accepted procedures and test instruments.
- Provide expert professional opinions and advice on the unique needs of neurobehavioral patients within the healthcare setting.
- Participate in program development and consultation with medical center staff on patient care issues.
- Comply with national and local performance measures, including timely health care screening and completion of clinical reminders.
- Timely completion of all clinical charting and documentation required by the Medical Center or healthcare system.
- Respond to patient requests for release of records and return telephone calls in a timely fashion.
- Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
- Hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- English Language Proficiency: Psychologists must be proficient in spoken and written English in accordance with VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Chapter 3, section A, paragraph 3j.
- At least 2 years of experience as a professional psychologist, with at least one year equivalent to the GS-12 level.
- Knowledge of, and ability to apply, professional psychological treatments to the full range of patient populations.
- Ability to provide professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health.
