Position Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing scripts for web applications. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to comprehend application requirements and formulate corresponding automated testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and sustain automated test scripts for web-based applications.
- Work closely with diverse teams to gather application requirements and devise automated testing methodologies.
- Run automated test cases, analyze outcomes, and identify defects to ensure application quality.
- Integrate automated testing into the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality and efficiency of automation scripts.
- Document and track defects within the issue tracking system.
- Continuously explore and implement new testing tools and methodologies to boost testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other team meetings to offer testing insights and updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as an Automation Test Engineer or in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Junit, or comparable technologies.
- Strong grasp of software development and quality assurance methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, agile development environment.
