Job Summary:

Hospice of El Paso, Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our in-patient unit. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide personal care services for patients under the guidance and instruction of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care services for patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist patients with meeting nutrition and hydration needs.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Report significant changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
  • Provide respite care for patients and their families.
  • Assist with post-mortem care.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Nurse Aide by the Texas Department of Health.
  • Personal vehicle available for transportation during work hours.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at a level that permits accurate understanding and communication of information.

Working Conditions:

  • Works in the hospice in-patient unit.
  • May need to assist in RHC visits in various locations.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions and hostile or emotionally upset patients.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically fit and able to work in a variety of settings.
  • Sits, bends, lifts, and walks intermittently during working hours.
