Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant Neuro provides clinical support to the patient care team, assisting with various tasks and procedures as instructed by licensed professionals. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and are looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with hygiene care, obtain vital signs, and communicate effectively with the care team.
  • Perform 12-lead EKG duties, wound care, stoma care, and specimen collection.
  • Apply, check, and document restraints as directed by the RN or physician.
  • Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges, and maintain patient charts.
  • Order and maintain office and patient care floor stock/supplies.
  • Perform the duties of unit secretary, including responding to phone calls and maintaining daily assignment boards.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of previous experience in a healthcare setting.
