Applications Sales Engineer

Job Overview

Danfoss LLC is on the lookout for a talented Applications Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key player in the North American market, you will be part of a leading organization in the manufacturing of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), with a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Role Summary

The Applications Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in driving regional sales growth by crafting tailored solutions for our clients and channel partners. You will collaborate closely with our Sales Development and Channel teams to enhance business opportunities and provide specialized application knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand customer requirements and influence design decisions to drive demand.
  • Assist in reviewing requests for quotations (RFQs) and requests for information (RFIs) to propose effective solutions.
  • Engage in business development efforts, focusing on new and strategically important industrial clients.
  • Plan and execute initiatives centered around industry-specific value propositions.
  • Facilitate effective communication between Sales and Product Management to ensure competitive offerings.
  • Support the introduction of new products and features to the market.
  • Deliver customized solutions in collaboration with Product Management and Development teams.
  • Share industry knowledge and best practices through training and education.
  • Work alongside a global network of application engineers to enhance expertise.
  • Build trust with customers by demonstrating vertical expertise and understanding their technical needs.
  • Analyze customer specifications to recommend suitable solutions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Danfoss products and services.
  • Support initiatives that ensure customer needs are met through collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a product, application, project, or service specialist role.
  • Familiarity with industrial verticals and their specific requirements.
  • Strong presentation skills and extensive field experience.
  • Self-motivated with a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet client demands.
