Fitness Coach

The Fitness Instructor will be responsible for leading the Planet Fitness group fitness program. This includes assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing a personalized workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

• Facilitate the Planet Fitness group fitness program, including creating and following a schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to properly and safely use the equipment.
• Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
• Respond to member inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to management as needed.

• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
• A strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem-solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Continual standing and walking during shifts.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shifts.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

• Experience in a fitness-related role is helpful.
• Certification in a fitness-related field is ideal, but not required.
