Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Occupational Therapy Programs: Create and implement occupational therapy programs that cater to the unique needs of children with exceptional educational needs.
  • Collaborate with Educational Staff: Work closely with educational staff to provide occupational therapy services that support the educational goals of children.
  • Conduct Evaluations and Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify the occupational therapy needs of children.
  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with the occupational therapy needs of children.
  • Provide Direct and Indirect Services: Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to children in educational environments.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and timely records of occupational therapy services provided to children.
  • Collaborate with Other Professionals: Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, administrators, and other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for children.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a school-based setting.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and billing software; strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work collaboratively with others; and knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
