Job Title: Software Engineer - Performance Optimization Specialist

About the Role:
United Software Group is seeking an experienced Performance Optimization Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the high-performance delivery of our applications.

About You:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in performance engineering and testing. As a Performance Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks in our systems, as well as developing and implementing strategies to improve overall system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 10-12 years of experience in performance testing and engineering
  • Hands-on experience in performance bottleneck analysis (infrastructure, application, and system levels)
  • Solid experience in providing performance tuning recommendations
  • Experience in creating performance test strategies, designs, planning, workload modeling, and eliciting non-functional requirements for testing
  • Hands-on experience in at least one load testing tool (Load Runner, JMeter, VSTS, SOASTA, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in profiling and performance monitoring
  • Hands-on experience in using analytics tools like Omniture, Google Analytics, and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamic, Tivoli, SiteScope, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C++, etc.) would be an added benefit
  • Prior customer-facing experience is a must
  • Experience in mobile app development/mobile performance testing would be an added benefit
  • Ability to recommend test methodologies, approaches, strategic directions for testing, and improving application performance
  • E-commerce performance testing experience is a plus
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are required
  • Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements
