Palliative Care Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Physician to join our team at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide clinical expertise and mentorship to our team members, while growing collaborative relationships with hospital departments to enhance and inform primary palliative care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in daily IDT to optimize clinical integration, efficiency, and effectiveness of service delivery
- Provide inpatient consultation and rotating weekend call schedule (day coverage)
- Assist with educational oversight of rotating learners
- Collaborate in system-wide quality initiatives
- Collaborate with Hospice partners to ensure appropriate transitions
- Develop and maintain partnerships in strategic arenas throughout the campus
- Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- At least 3 years' experience in the practice of hospice and palliative medicine OR at least 5 years' experience in the practice of another primary specialty
- At least 2 years' experience in a leadership role
- High level of interpersonal skills that allows effective communication with a wide variety of clinicians, physicians, patients, affiliated institutions, and the general public
