About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
  • Merchandising and Processing: Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor, and ensures Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Productivity and Quality: Monitors productivity of team and coaches as necessary, and maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintains all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area, and ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
  • Communication and Feedback: Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provides progress updates.
Requirements
  • Flexibility and Availability: Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors, and capable of training others.
  • Experience and Qualifications: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
