Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at UP On The Roof. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and executing a variety of menu items with precision and efficiency.

• Prepare and execute menu items, including appetizers, entrees, and sides, following established recipes and guidelines.
• Cook and grill food items according to specified cooking methods, temperatures, and portion sizes, ensuring optimal taste, texture, and presentation.
• Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients before each shift.
• Monitor and manage cooking times to ensure timely service.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate orders and maintain a harmonious working environment.

• Lift, handle, and carry food, smallwares, equipment, supplies, and paper goods up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours.
• Bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently to receive and store stock, supplies, and equipment.
• Communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees, vendors, and guests.
• Taste and distinguish between flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel, and smell.
