Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Clarendon Hills, Illinois.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that requires 40 hours per week of work. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting and be proficient in PTCA and EPS procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures
  • Participate in in-services, continuing education, and workshops to stay up-to-date on new procedures and technologies
  • Accountable for the maintenance of quality control in all areas of the lab
  • Provide a secure and safe environment for patients and staff, maintaining constant awareness of safety hazards
  • Assist with new staff orientation within the department
  • Act as a role model within the department, serving as a resource person for all clinical activities
  • Assist in the development of new operating procedures
Requirements
  • AAS in RTR or RTN license, or a minimum of 5 years of experience as RTR or RTN
  • Minimum of 12 CEU hours per year
  • Ability to recognize the needs and behaviors of various age groups of patients treated
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to anticipate patient and unit needs
  • Ability to teach procedures to staff
  • Current License in the state of IL as a RTR, RTN, RCVT, or Paramedic (EMT-P)
  • ACLS, IABP, and RCIS certifications within two years of employment
