The Physician Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team at Jupiter Medical Center. This role requires a multi-skilled specialist who assists the physician in all aspects of the medical practice under their direct responsibility.
Responsibilities- Assist with patient care management, including vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and updating medical records.
- Execute administrative and clinical procedures, such as entering lab and imaging orders, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, and transmitting prescription refills.
- Perform supervisory functions, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and removing sutures and dressings.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Graduate from an accredited program for medical assistants with one year in a medical office setting preferred.
- Three years of experience in a medical office setting required if not a graduate from a medical assisting program.
- Medical Assistance Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of the outpatient practice of medicine, medical equipment, and instruments to administer patient care.
- Ability to make sound decisions, possess computer skills, and demonstrate customer service skills.
