Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Armed Public Safety Officer to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol facilities and property to detect and prevent unauthorized activities, ensuring the safety and security of our community.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Investigate and document incidents, including safety hazards and criminal activities.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Two years of security, military, or law enforcement experience.
  • Completion of EHC PS Basic Officer Course and EHC PS Firearms Training Course.
  • Pass Psychological Exam.
  • Obtain IAHSS Basic within 12 months; CPI or Equivalent within 12 months; BLS Certification within 12 months.
  • Obtain Georgia Secretary of State License for Armed In-House Security Officer upon completion of training and complete FEMA IS 100, 200, 700, 800, 906 within 12 months.
