POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a driven individual to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team as a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing our financial performance and supporting our strategic initiatives. You will engage with various departments to enhance our financial planning and reporting processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Senior Financial Analyst in updating operational expense templates and departmental key performance indicators for financial reporting and month-end closing activities.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to review month-end closing details, ensuring accurate booking of operating expense accruals by department and general ledger classification.
  • Investigate and provide insights on variances between budgeted and actual operating expenses.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand vendor costs and ensure the accuracy of billed invoices.
  • Assist in updating projections for sales, margins, and inventory receipts in collaboration with Planning and cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor invoices to ensure departmental spending aligns with budgetary expectations.
  • Prepare financial projections for new vendors and technology platforms, ensuring these are integrated into the financial model.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses utilizing various data sources to support department leaders and the Finance team.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Validate and reconcile invoices from external service providers.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to synthesize large data sets.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, apparel, or consumer goods sectors is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • This position operates Monday through Friday during core business hours and is onsite.
