Job Title: Senior Fire Tech

PAC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Fire Tech to support PAC and our government customer in Denver, CO. The hourly rate for this position is $38.46-$43.26.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Fire Alarm Technician and System Programmer to join our team. This key role requires a deep understanding of fire alarm systems, low voltage panels, and associated devices, as well as exceptional programming and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low voltage panels, wiring, and associated devices, focusing on fire alarm systems.
  • Utilize expertise to proctor, coach, and teach other team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Deliver reliable and top-notch customer support, offering precise system operation and functionality instructions.
  • Conduct thorough system testing and signal verification to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Sprinkler head inspections and changeouts.
  • Maintain a well-organized inventory of equipment, tools, and necessary resources in the company vehicle.
  • Make effective use of technical resources, information, and support to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure tasks are progressed and completed within defined timelines, meeting or exceeding project expectations.
  • Create detailed documentation of services performed, hours worked, and task-related activities.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Lead by example with excellent written and verbal communication when collaborating with team members and customers.
  • Act as a reference point for complex field situations, identifying and implementing effective resolutions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, guiding to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Complete additional projects and assignments as directed by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/Vocational Training.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in fire alarm systems and low-voltage installations.
  • Mastery knowledge of enterprise intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, and intercom access control systems.
  • Full understanding of local and national codes, including OSHA and HAZCOM Regulations.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying the national electronic code, state, and local construction codes.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, enabling effective collaboration and guidance for team members.
  • Ability to determine and implement resolutions for complex field situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screening.
Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions, electrical hazards, and challenging work environments. Physical capabilities to perform tasks including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, lifting to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces. This position requires the ability to work with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, etc. Full-time availability with on-call flexibility and occasional travel on short notice. Proficiency in driving a motor vehicle for extended periods, including days and evenings.
