Precast Concrete Specialist

American Concrete Products is seeking a highly skilled Precast Concrete Specialist to join our team. As the primary point of contact for project engineering, submittal production and technical procurement, you will play a vital role in directing Engineer-to-Order (ETO) products from sales to direct the engineering, submittals, procurement and production drawing release.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Project Managers to establish partnerships with Customers and define submittal requirements post-sale.
• Develop and maintain technical expertise for ETO specials and product lines, create certification documents and manage product data.
• Define engineering requirements, scope and submit design requests to engineering, drafting and vendors.
• Set design budgets and deadlines for design requests with drafter, corporate engineering & consulting firms.
• Lead engineering teams to meet deadlines, conduct shop drawing QA/QC and manage release work.
• Prepare and distribute timely product submittal documentation to Customers, manage changes and revisions.
• Create bills-of-material, lead sheets and purchase requisitions for sub-assemblies and components.
• Support the preparation of estimates and obtaining vendor quotes for large projects involving ETO products.
• Collaborate with BDM on customer-facing meetings, solutioning and proof-of-concept.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor product data, mix designs, cut-sheets, shop drawings, and revision history.
• Work with staff and vendors to resolve quality issues and implement revisions and procedures to prevent future instances.
• Answer and respond to Customer calls in a timely manner and handle issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in REVU Bluebeam required. Knowledge of AutoCAD/REVIT a major plus.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, mechanical and/or electrical control a major plus.
• CSI Certified Document Technologist (CDT) accreditation a major plus.
• 4-year undergraduate degree. Engineering degree (Mechanical or Civil) with P.E. a plus, but not required.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Sharepoint.
• Possibility of occasional travel to jobsites and plants in other states.
