Job Summary

Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to fill a locum tenens position in a primary care setting. As a locum physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, from infants to adults, in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Primary Care Services: Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations, diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, and manage chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol.
  • Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests: Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed, including lab results and imaging studies.
  • Prescribe Medications and Develop Treatment Plans: Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans for patients with various medical conditions.
  • Provide Preventative Care Services: Provide preventative care services, including immunizations, cancer screenings, and health education.
  • Collaborate with Specialists: Collaborate with specialists when needed to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  • Maintain Accurate Medical Records: Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency Training: Residency training program in family medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Board Certification: Board certification in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the AOA.
  • Medical License: Active and unrestricted medical license in California.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience working in a primary care setting.
