Job Title: Data Analyst

Christensen Farms is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Decision Science team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping us grow and modernize our analytics services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and manage data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the analysis process.
  • Develop and maintain key data infrastructure within SQL and IBM toolsets, working closely with our Data Engineer and DBA.
  • Collaborate with domain experts, Business Analysts, and Financial Analysts to define data requirements for specific business processes.
  • Design and implement automated pipelines, ETLs, and ELTs to streamline data collection and analysis.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity, identifying and resolving issues as needed.
  • Support and establish reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI.
  • Provide 2nd-level employee support for decision science services, troubleshooting and resolving data performance issues.
  • Work closely with application and technical teams to ensure that current and future services meet data architecture requirements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum formal education: Associates/bachelor's degree in data and analytics or an IT-related discipline, or 4+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate IT team environment.
  • Exceptional technical skills, including cloud-based tools (Power BI, Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, H20.ai, Excel, database management, etc.).
  • 2-3+ years of programming/scripting experience (SQL and/or Python) and working knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • 2+ years of experience engineering within a data warehouse or related experience with dimensional data modeling.
  • Clear, concise, and precise written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize objectives, anticipate situations, and take quick action.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in data architecture (DASCA, TOGAF, etc.), ITIL, or enterprise application experience.
  • Cloud technologies (public, private, dedicated, hybrid) and experience working in an agricultural business, particularly the swine industry.
