Pet Groomer

We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our team at Cha Chas Doggie Daycare Inc. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for bathing, clipping, and styling dogs to meet breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, and detangle hair to ensure the overall health and well-being of our canine clients.

• Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
• Bathe dogs and dry coat
• Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
• Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
• Trim nails
• Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
• Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners

• Two years experience as a dog grooming technician or a similar role
• Comfortable working with anxious animals
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds
• Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners
• Strong attention to detail
• Bathing and clipping hair of all dog breeds
• Nail trimming, teeth brushing, and ear cleaning
• Basic daily and weekly cleaning of the grooming station/spa
• Keep records of grooming treatments and other updates
• Studies proportions of dogs to determine the most appropriate cutting pattern to achieve the desired style
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness while completing work promptly
• Responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service, and responds to requests for service and assistance
• Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly
