Key Responsibilities:

The primary role involves working under the direct supervision of the Security Supervisor and/or Coordinator to monitor educational facilities for unauthorized access and security breaches using advanced alarm systems and surveillance technology. Specific duties include:

  1. Setting alarm systems to appropriate operational parameters and monitoring access by authorized personnel.
  2. Monitoring facilities for security breaches, unauthorized access, and fire alarms, and coordinating responses with local law enforcement and emergency services.
  3. Collaborating with school staff and technical personnel to ensure alarm systems are maintained and functioning correctly.
  4. Providing timely notifications to security staff regarding emergencies, significant incidents, or relevant events.
  5. Maintaining effective communication with security personnel and other relevant parties.
  6. Documenting and maintaining accurate records of all activities during shifts.
  7. Ensuring availability of necessary materials and supplies for operational use.
  8. Assisting in the training of new security operators.
  9. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required.
