MassHire Lowell Career Center is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Electronics Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex electro-mechanical assembly tasks, including component board population, module assembly, and top-level system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of complex electro-mechanical assembly tasks, including component board population, module assembly, and top-level system integration.
- Assemble modules and subassemblies using approved soldering, wiring/cabling, connector installation, and bonding techniques.
- De-solder and rework failed components on PCBAs, modules, and subassemblies.
- Perform chemical cleaning of PCBAs, metals, housings, and mechanical parts.
- Apply UV curing of epoxies and conformal coatings.
- Mask and conformal coat boards.
- Perform rework and repairs of materials to IPC standards.
- Operate process ovens for curing and cleaning of parts.
- Hand-solder advanced PCBAs.
- Assist in the training of less experienced technicians.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly working area.
- Meet production schedules and established procedures.
- Record defects in the quality database and Product Life Management system.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Ability to understand and work from technical drawings and documents.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience and a proven track record of excellence in electronics and mechanical assembly.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and remain highly organized in a high-volume production environment.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and process.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience and a proven track record of excellence in electronics and mechanical assembly in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (space, medical, etc.).
- Experience using Product Life Management systems (Agile).
- Certified to J-STD-001, ideally including space addendum.

This job requires access to technology, materials, software, or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of either U.S. citizenship, Permanent U.S. residency, or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b(a).
