Nuclear Medicine Technologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide high-quality patient care and serve as a resource in the radiology department. The ideal candidate will possess American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) certification, CPR (American Heart Association) certification, and an Alabama state license to practice nuclear medicine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals orally or by injection or inhalation.
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients, answer questions, and ensure their comfort.
  • Operate imaging equipment.
  • Process images.
  • Monitor patients for unusual reactions to radioactive drugs.
  • Maintain detailed records of radiopharmaceuticals used and procedures.
  • Follow safety procedures to protect staff and patients from radiation exposure.
