Position Overview

The Refurbishment Technician is accountable for ensuring the quality and efficiency of refurbished ice merchandisers within our refurbishment centers, which may be located in production facilities, remote sites, or designated warehouse areas.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade School certification
• At least 1 year of experience in the refrigeration industry
• EPA certification

Working Environment and Physical Demands

This position primarily operates within the plant repair shop. Employees may encounter risks associated with electrical and mechanical equipment and may be required to use paint. The role involves some heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling; units on top of the merchandiser can weigh around 150 lbs, and moving merchandisers may require handling weights of 700 to 800 lbs with appropriate equipment. Good manual dexterity is essential. While performing job duties, employees are regularly required to sit, talk, or listen, frequently use hands for handling or reaching, and occasionally stand or walk. Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
