Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at California Correctional Health Care Services. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients in a correctional health care facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize dietary activity and provide medical nutritional therapy to patients
  • Write and review menus, authorize substitution or modification of special diets, and serve as a member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT)
  • Provide counseling to patients and maintain order and supervise the conduct of inmates
  • Protect and maintain the safety of persons and property
Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Ability to work in a correctional health care facility and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
