About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Senior Visual Product Designer to join our team and lead the visual refresh of our app experience across mobile, web, and TV. As a key member of our Product Design department, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve our Crunchyroll experience and delight our users.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop a deep understanding of our industry, competitors, and user needs to inform design decisions.
  2. Design visually stunning and user-centered experiences that meet our high standards.
  3. Work closely with our design team to evolve our visual design language and ensure consistency across platforms.
  4. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation of designs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional visual design experience.
  • Strong visual capabilities and a wide range of styles.
  • Experience with brand and identity work.
  • Experience with design programs like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Demonstrate a user-centered approach and have empathy for the end-users.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Adept collaborator working with teams.
  • Experience designing visual design language for UI.
  • Anime fan, understanding of anime fandom, or similar fandom.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong illustration capabilities.
  • Experience designing UI for TV devices.
  • Experience working in streaming or entertainment industry.
  • Experience with prototyping.

About the Team

The Product Design department is a distributed team responsible for creating Crunchyroll's video streaming services. Our mission is to provide a fabulous and engaging user experience for lovers of anime and manga content everywhere. As a partner to business, product, and engineering groups, we collaborate with teams across the company to identify the right problems and ensure that our solutions satisfy the goals of both the business and the end-user.

Pay Transparency

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll's Total Rewards offerings for employees.
